Privacy by Design
We process only what is necessary to deliver the service. No hidden tracking, no user profiling, and zero selling of personal data.
No Account Needed
You retain full anonymity. We rely exclusively on stateless API requests and your device's local storage to provide a personalized experience.
1. Data Collection & Account Requirements
GenYT Pro is built on a privacy-first philosophy. We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit personally identifiable information (PII) to use our core services. The product is designed to avoid user profiles and account-based tracking.
2. Local Device Storage
To provide a seamless experience, we utilize your browser's local storage mechanisms (such as localStorage and IndexedDB). This is strictly used to remember your UI preferences (like dark mode) and recent local history. This data never leaves your device and is not synced to our servers.
3. API Processing & Temporary Caching
When you initiate a search or request a media extraction, your query or URL is securely transmitted to our backend API for processing. To ensure high performance and reduce latency for popular requests, our servers may temporarily cache non-identifying metadata (e.g., video titles, thumbnails, and durations). We do not use IP addresses or request data to build user profiles, though hosting providers may process standard connection logs for security and operations.
4. Third-Party Integrations & Cookies
Our application interfaces with publicly available content from YouTube. When a video player or thumbnail is rendered on your screen, your browser connects directly to Google-owned servers. These interactions are subject to Google's Privacy Policy and terms. We do not inject third-party tracking cookies into these requests.
5. Analytics and Telemetry
At present, GenYT Pro operates without intrusive third-party analytics trackers. If we introduce performance monitoring tools in the future to ensure app stability, this policy will be updated, and data collection will remain strictly anonymized.
6. Your Rights & Data Control
Because your preferences and history are stored locally, you remain in control of that app data. You can erase your watch history, search history, and preferences at any time by clearing your browser storage or using the in-app data controls.
7. Data Retention
Local history and preferences remain on your device until you remove them. Server-side caches are temporary and exist only to improve performance, reduce duplicate requests, and support short-lived download links.
8. Children & Age-Sensitive Use
GenYT Pro is not directed toward children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the service, please contact us so we can review and respond appropriately.
